March 17-19, 2017
The Families in Recovery Conference is dedicated to AA and Al-Anon principles. The purpose of this conference is to provide a place where couples in recovery can “meet upon common ground of tolerance, understanding, and love.” (AA, page 122, Chapter 9)
During this two day retreat (Friday evening through Sunday morning), held in the friendly setting of The Venue, in Salado TX, attendees meet in small groups to discuss topics taken from Alcoholics Anonymous Chapter 9, "The Family Afterward".
Attendees will have the opportunity to attend intimate and confidential workshops on Communication, Establishing Trust, Love & Tolerance, Financial Recovery, and Practical Spirituality. These small groups allow attendees to get to know their fellow group members, learn from others who have overcome adversity and experience the benefits of group sharing.
In addition there are discussion meetings on Parent/Child Relationships, Traditions and Relationships, as well as several closed meetings for AA and Al-Anon.
The Saturday evening highlight is a “Speaker Meeting” at which each member of a couple in recovery shares their experience, strength and hope. This year’s speakers are John and Kay C. from Lakeway, TX.
This unique Recovery Conference for couples in committed relationships has been held each year in March for the past 26 years!
We look forward to seeing you at the next conference!
